David is 42 years old, from Omaha, Nebraska, and has been deaf his whole life. Sheila is hearing impaired.

David always found it hard to communicate with people in a hearing world but desperately wanted a relationship. He was elated when he met Sheila online, and they dated for two years before his trip to The Philippines. Sheila has a twelve-year-old son, Jhonreil. She comes from an impoverished part of the country, not having even basic living necessities like running water. David Was There For Sheila When Her Mother Died

In a shocking turn of events, Sheila’s mother died after falling through the dangerous stairs in their dilapidated house the morning after David met her and Sheila’s dad. David was there for Sheila and did everything he could to comfort her. He gave her space when needed but continuously expressed sympathy for Sheila’s situation. When pressed about being able to pay the $1725 for repairs to Sheila’s family’s house, David tried his best to come up with solutions within his means to help the situation.

David Cares For Sheila’s Family Including Her Son

David has treated Sheila’s son Jhonreil as his own and has tried to bond with him and form a connection. David’s future plans with Sheila include Jhonreil, and he wants to bring Jhonreil to America so he can have a better life alongside his mom. Jhonreil expressed disinterest in going to America, but David remained calm about Jhonreil’s response and told him about the positive opportunities he would have in the U.S. 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days lovebirds David and Sheila have a bright future ahead together, and hopefully, fans will get to see that in future seasons.
