90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Wayne Cornish has been struggling with money as he continues to run his own business in South Africa. The 40-year-old South African man stars in season 5 of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off with 44-year-old Holly Weeks. The pair met on a Jehovah’s Witnesses dating site. Utah-based barber Holly flew to Wayne’s country and got engaged to him within three days of meeting him. Wayne and Holly are about to get married, but Holly and Wayne are navigating through challenges amid their looming wedding, which is set to take place just after seven days after Holly’s arrival.
Holly has been struggling to get used to life in South Africa. There have been issues in Holly’s relationship with Wayne, especially with him likening her style to a prostitute. But Holly is also not feeling safe in the house where they stay. Holly wants to go out for walks and jogging like she used to back home. Without telling Wayne, Holly has looked at gated communities they could move into, especially since Wayne’s home had been broken into three times. But moving made no sense to Wayne, who got upset that Holly had booked appointments behind his back. There was a reason why Wayne did not want to leave his existing house.
Wayne Works As A “Master Plumber”

During 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way episode 1, Holly revealed that Wayne is a licensed plumber and he owns a plumbing business in South Africa. “He’s a hard worker, he’s been on his own since he was 17, he’s worked every day, he hasn’t had a privileged life,” Holly said about her future husband. Wayne’s shirt on 90 Day Fiancé as he carried out his task at a client’s home read, “Advanced Plumbing Wayne.” On his LinkedIn, Wayne notes that he has been a “Master Plumber” from January 2012 to the present at Sandton Randburg Kempton where he helps run a “24 hour dedicated service in the plumbing industry.” He writes, “No job is too big or small for us…”

Wayne’s profile also reveals that he works at WMC Plumbing since February 2023. He’s mentioned that he’s the “owner of WMC PLUMBING.” Wayne indeed has worked exclusively in plumbing ever since his first job. He attended “Technical High Klerksdorp” and began working in May 2010 as a plumber for HG Construction. He later worked at Darton Plumbers. However, Wayne also mentions at one point that he’s been a plumber since 1997 at his company WMC Plumbing.
Wayne Is Facing Money Problems On 90 Day Fiancé
Wayne revealed on the show that his business was not flourishing anymore. He had already spent a lot on the home, especially by installing a new pool and security system. When Holly met him for the first time in Johannesburg, his business was doing well, but since then, Wayne lost one of his biggest contracts which used to get him eight or nine jobs in a day. He hadn’t been completely honest with Holly about how bad his situation had gotten. Until his financial situation changes, Wayne can’t afford to move. But Wayne is not giving up just yet. “Maybe I’ll change my mind. Let’s go see!” he said during 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way to show support for Holly.
