90 Day’s Shekinah Is Revolted by Sarper’s 12-Year-Old Bed That’s Hosted Hundreds of Sleepovers (Exclusive)

In PEOPLE’s exclusive sneak peek at Monday’s ’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’, Shekinah bickers with Sarper for his refusal to get a new bed

Shekinah and Sarper are not seeing eye-to-eye on this week’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way.

In PEOPLE’s exclusive look at Monday’s episode of the TLC series, Shekinah scolds her Turkish beau for not getting rid of his 12-year-old bed — something she’s told him to do several times.

“That is still your old bed,” Shekinah complains, eyeing it with contempt. “Before I came here, I said please get a new bed, because I don’t want to sleep in a bed that other women have slept in.”

Sarper explains that he is “so happy” with his bed as it was, but Shekinah is not having it — and for good reason, she explains during a confessional.

“About a month before I moved to Turkey, Sarper told me that he had been with about 2,500 women, and I thought it was a typo,” Shekinah admits. “I’d never even heard of anyone being with half that many people. I just really hate the mental image of wondering what caused the headboard to look the way that it does.”

A “fresh” mattress was needed for a “fresh” start, Shekinah reasons, adding that his bed was “gross.”

Still not quite understanding her point, Sarper asks, “So what’s wrong with my bed?”

“Everything,” she emphasizes. “There’s like, been a lot of women that have slept in this bed, and it’s rotting. It’s like falling apart.”

“Okay, I admit. It’s old. It’s 12-years-old and used a lot,” Sarper sheepishly confesses during a confessional.

Back in Sarper’s bedroom, a clearly disgruntled Shekinah declares she had come to a conclusion over the situation.

“I came all this way to sleep on the couch, I guess,” she says, adding, “You should have done what I said. I literally told you like three times to get a new bed.”

“God, give me patience,” Sarper pleads in his native Turkish, before eventually putting sheets on the couch for her.

In a final confessional moment, Shekinah notes: “Clearly he doesn’t take it seriously when I tell him to do something, so he’s gonna find out now. And if he wants to sleep in his gross bed, he can do that. Or he can join me on the couch. I don’t care. But all I know is I’m not sleeping in that bed, and we have to get a new one as soon as possible.”
