Kenny, who is from St. Petersburg, Florida, moved to Mexico during The Other Way season 2 in 2020.

He had a 26-year-old age gap with his partner Armando but decided to leave his life in

America behind for his true love. The first male same-sex couple in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, Kenny and Armando faced a set of challenges to overcome before their wedding.

It seemed like they were a couple without any drama to deal with, until Armando broached the subject of welcoming a child. In an interview with ET, Kenny revealed he’s given in to Armando’s wishes after much back and forth about whether he wanted a baby at his age. Armando and Kenny have started the process to get a surrogate in Mexico. “Armando is still in Mexico, but we’re, like, this close to it happening,” Kenny told the interviewer. “Everything’s been approved, everything’s done, but we’re just waiting on the interview,” he added.

Meanwhile, the process is going very slow but could happen “any day,” as revealed by Kenny, who admitted it took him a “bit” of time to come around to the idea. He was letting “things” in his head get to him. Kenny was particularly bothered by the age gap between him and his 34-year-old husband. But “at the end of the day,” it all boiled down to love for Kenny. They were in love and wanted to add to their family. “We have a lot of love and love to give, so we’re going through with surrogacy, and we are doing it,” Kenny confessed. He looks at welcoming a baby with Armando as a “blessing.”

Kenny doesn’t want to live a life of regrets. His marriage reached a pivotal moment because they were arguing over wanting a baby. Kenny is already a father to four grown kids, out of which three daughters were born triplets. Kenny never got married, his friend had pretended to be his wife so she could act as a surrogate. Kenny is now a grandfather too, while Armando has a pre-teen daughter, Hannah, from his first marriage. Armando lost his second baby in a horrible accident while his wife was pregnant. Kenny recently revealed he lost twins at four months in a miscarriage.

Kenny and Armando also argued about where they were going to live. Kenny wanted to move to Mexico City while Armando was happy with staying in La Misión. Armando only agreed to give Mexico City a trial run because of its access to surrogacy clinics. He, too, decided it was best for the couple to move there. It’s taken the couple a lot of compromise and sacrifice to maintain a healthy relationship. But then again, that’s what makes them one of the most successful couples in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise.
