While getting ready in a bathroom by herself, Barbie called her mom to talk about the day. She lamented about her recent struggles while getting emotional.
“I ruined the day for everyone,” Barbie said to her mom in Spanish, who then assured her that she likely did not “ruin” the day off for the other crew members. “Yes, because it’s the day off for everyone, and I’m here crying.”
Barbie then wondered if leaving the boat would be better for everyone.
“I know that you’re not a quitter,” her mom responded, and she advised Barbie to change her mentality and focus on working hard.
When Barbie left the bathroom, she was in better spirits. She later told deckhand Kyle Stillie that she wanted to stay on the boat.
“I’m a bad b-tch,” she said. “I’ve never quit anything in my life.” When the crew went out to dinner later that night, she joked, “I need a day off from this day off.”
