While chatting with Joe Bradley and Gael Cameron, Iain says he won’t be around to help set up the picnic, instructing them to handle it.
“For games, you guys get creative,” he says. In an interview, he adds that he’s a bit nervous since there was no time to scout out the picnic location. However, he notes that he trusts his team and doesn’t want to micromanage them.
Joe Bradley, Gael Cameron, and Nathan Gallagher react to Iain Maclean’s management style
With the guests excited for “beach time,” Joe and Gael are then sent to the island to prep. When they ask for water, Iain tells them they can find it on the island, leaving without helping them carry the piles of supplies to their chosen locale. As they trek back and forth, they discuss their boss.
“It’s going to be a tough day,” says Joe, while Gael responds that Iain “knows how much stuff he dropped us with.”
After a bit more chatting and a decision to just make things smooth for the guests, Joe says that it’s “bad management.”
“There’s no leadership at all,” he added in a confessional. “Iain could have helped. We’re tired already.”

While he’s not participating in setup, deckhand Nathan Gallagher isn’t immune to the drama. At the very end of the clip, we see him get a bit agitated after Iain explains where he should find some trolleys.
“If this is going to continue, with Iain micromanaging, I know I won’t be happy,” Nathan says.
