There’s always one family member everybody hates the most.

Blue Bloods is one of the most popular police procedurals of our time. The show has 13 released seasons with the final one scheduled to be released on CBS in a month. While we don’t know much about the final chapter of the show and what it will focus on, we do know that a certain character will join the cast for at least one episode of season 14.
Frankly, we’re sure the fans were not happy to discover the news that Sami Gayle a.k.a. Nicky Reagan is about to return to the series, but there’s nothing we can do about it, so let’s just eat it.
But why the disappointment? Let us remind you who we are talking about.
Nicky is the only child of Erin Reagan and Jack Boyle. She was raised by her mother alone because her father wanted to stay out of the family picture.
The young girl is known for her intelligence and her rather mature style of dressing, but these are exactly the personality traits that made her fans really annoyed with her.
Nobody Likes a Know-It-All
The most frustrating thing about Nicky, as fans claim, is that she comes off like a know-it-all, and that’s something nobody can tolerate for too long.
She started in the show like an arrogant teenager and went all the way through college graduation, only to become the only character of the show that always knows what’s right to do and how to behave in each and every situation.
However, as the fans constantly mention, she is a fake Mary Sue, because all the things she says as a liberal character is actually nonsense.

Yes she always has some extremely naive view about the world and I’m sorry they baby her too much when most of the ignorance comes out of her mouth. The Character Is Bad, But The Actor Is Worse
It’s one thing to have an annoying character, but realizing that the actress or the actor is doing a great job and that’s why we hate the character so much. But as fans claim, the case with Nicky is something different.
The most attentive fans remember that Nicky was played by a different actress in the show’s pilot, but was later replaced by Gayle, a much older actress.
Viewers of the show have seen her on screen for ten seasons now, and all they can say about the acting is that it’s so bad that they actually skip all of her storylines (the fact that they’re usually not connected to the other major ones helps).
“She’s just not a good actor. Period. And that facial expression she makes while crying. There are more attractive acting skills for crying. Her mouth, grrrr, and eyes that don’t cry,” Redditor robertthecat1 said.
