10 Blue Bloods Theories Fans Are Pushing For Season 14

It is safe to say that there is no other show on television right now like Blue Bloods. No matter how many law enforcement procedurals the networks come up with, it’s impossible to replicate the atmosphere of the CBS hit.

Not only does Blue Bloods explore the hardships of working within the system, opening viewers’ eyes to all the corruption and negligence that goes on behind the scenes, but it also pays a lot of attention to the interpersonal relationships of the characters. Which is doubly important considering that most of the regular characters are part of the Reagan family.

It will never be easy for viewers to see a show like this go. But the goodbye can still be sweet if done right.

Here are 10 things the audience needs to see from season 14 of Blue Bloods to make it through without a meltdown.

Frank’s Retirement

 

character for him to fight the change at first, but then realize that it’s for the better. This is just the course of life that we all have to accept. Besides, there is already a great replacement for him in the making.

Jamie’s PC Takeover

Obviously, with Danny’s lack of political savvy, it will have to be Jamie who takes over Frank’s position. Most likely that won’t happen right away, even though the position is civilian and won’t require him to get all the ranks. However, it would be nice to see him in PC’s place in at least one flashforward.

Danny Will Find Love

 

Procedurals like Blue Bloods rarely consider a finale happy unless everyone gets a love interest, so it’s safe to assume that Danny won’t be single for much longer. If fans were to place their bets, they would all agree that his former partner Jackie is a perfect choice.

Henry’s Exit

Whether that happens due to age or because Henry is the victim of an accident in which he plays a hero, fans are sure to say goodbye to him in season 14. Henry’s death will likely be accompanied by a heartfelt ensemble episode in which everyone comes together for the funeral.

More Joe

 

Whether this is a real theory or just a plea at this point, but Blue Bloods fans want to see more of Joe. It would be very interesting to either see him with his cousins, or just get a little more of his storyline. If Blue Bloods ever gets the chance to expand the world with a spin-off, Joe would be a great choice for that as well.

Erin Gets Elected DA

Back to the good news, no one doubts that Erin will be elected DA. With her newfound power, she might as well bring back fan favorite Anthony. So far, her storyline has been one of the least consistent in the series, so it would be great to see it wrap up nicely.

Speaking of Anthony, would it be too weird if his relationship with Erin took a turn? While Blue Bloods fans are divided on the matter, we can easily see the writers going in that direction and putting them together for a hookup. The only hope is that their relationship doesn’t get too messy.

Jamie and Eddie’s Baby

One of the easiest things Blue Bloods can do to make all viewers happy is to throw a baby Reagan into the chaos of this family. Whether viewers will only be teased with the pregnancy at the very end of the show or whether we’ll see an actual baby is debatable, but the family will most likely expand.

Eddie Leaving the Forces

 

This would be an unexpected twist, but it could be explained by the happy news that Eddie is expecting a child. While no one expects her to become a full-time stay-at-home mom, she may want to extend her maternity leave for a while if that’s the case.

Sunday Dinner

The show has to end with one of the Sunday dinners. It can be a flashback, a flash-forward, or even a cheesy compilation of family gatherings over the years, but fans won’t be ready to see Blue Bloods go until it says goodbye to each and every character in the most family-like way possible.

Whether the Blue Bloods writers deliver exactly what fans want to see in the show’s final season or come up with something completely unexpected, it will be criminal to miss. Blue Bloods season 14 will premiere on February 16 on CBS, so mark your calendars to be the first to find out how it all ends.
