After describing herself as a “daddy’s girl” in the Below Deck Season 11 trailer, Barbie shared more about her background on the premiere episode.

She revealed that she works on boats to get her own spending money, and that her father handles the rest. During the first crew dinner out, Barbie detailed what her upbringing was like.

“I lived in Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico, China…” she told Fraser and Bosun Jared Woodin during the crew’s first dinner out. “I grew up with three nannies all the time. One would cook, one would clean, and one would do my hair.”

On Episode 4, Barbie shared why it has been difficult for her to work with Fraser.

“I grew up with a father [who] just applauds me 24/7, like that’s what my dad does…” she said in an interview on the episode. “And there’s nothing that makes Fraser be like, ‘Oh, Barbie, good job.’ All I know how to do now is shut down. I’m in a really hard place, and it really sucks.”
