Natalya Scudder from Below Deck Mediterranean season 8 may have difficulty getting along with her new chief stew, Tumi Mhlongo. The season of the popular reality TV spin-off premiered in September 2023 and surprised fans with on-screen drama. A big reason for the new season’s explosive start is the cast. Below Deck Mediterranean features cast members such as Natalya, who previously had a major problem getting along with her former leader, Natasha Webb. The show also has other strong personalities, like Captain Sandy Yawn, Luka Brunton, Kyle Viljoen, and Tumi.

While Below Deck Mediterranean season 8 has just begun, Natalya already stands out as one of the most chaotic cast members. The 25-year-old Australian created a lot of drama in season 7 and is doing the same this time. Natalya already has multiple feuds with her co-stars that may or may not bode well for her career. Recently, she opened up about her problems with Kyle. She said things got pretty sour with her costar even though she didn’t want it to happen.

Natalya’s other feud is with Tumi. Natalya was the temporary chief stewardess this season before the South African resident joined the crew in episode 2 and assumed the role of chief stewardess. That instantly brewed a bit of jealousy in Natalya’s mind, evident in their most recent fight. During the latest episode, Natalya and Tumi disagreed on where the glassware and silverware are stored and argued about how to display the tanning lotion for guests. Tumi even told Natalya, “the organization’s a s**t show.”

Natayla Clearly Feels Disrespected By Tumi

t will be hard for Natalya to be friends with Tumi, as they started on the wrong foot. Initially, the Australian stew was excited to meet Tumi and show her what she had done on the yacht prior to her arrival. However, things soon changed after Tumi came on board, took Natalya’s chief stew position, and started doing things her way, undermining Natalya’s management style from the beginning. Natalya said in a recent interview (via Cheatsheet), “When someone disrespects me, or when someone upsets me, I’m definitely not one to sit back and just be like, ‘Yeah, that’s fine.”

Natalya may be unable to accept Tumi as her chief stew because they didn’t connect immediately. Tumi was a bit hard when she arrived at the yacht, which didn’t sit well with Natalya. According to Natalya, she has been a chief stew on various boats in her eight-year career. Therefore, the second stewardess knows how a manager is supposed to treat their team members. It doesn’t seem like things will resolve between the two. Instagram shows that the new addition to the Below Deck Mediterranean cast, Tumi, isn’t following Natalya, and the same is true the other way around.
