Below Deck Mediterranean’s Aesha Scott gives costar ‘what she deserves’ as star teases Season 9 spoilers
BELOW Deck Mediterranean star Aesha Scott has leaked some insight into the rest of Season 9 and reveals what one cast member has coming to her in an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun.
The latest season is the first of the Below Deck spinoff, in which Aesha, 31, leads the pack as Chief Stew on Captain Sandy Yawn’s boat, The Mustique.
While she’s been in this position before in previous episodes of the franchise, it doesn’t appear to have gotten any easier, especially as she oversees the work of new crew members: Second Stew Ellie Dubaich, 28, and Third Stew Bri Muller, 24.
Aesha exclusively spoke to The U.S. Sun about her experience working with the ladies, who she claims “aren’t the most competent” at their jobs.
“I feel like up to this point, people have been starting to get a little bit frustrated with me,” the New Zealand native admits, referring to some claims on social media that she’s too soft with the girls when addressing their missteps out at sea.
Now, more than halfway through the season, fans have watched Ellie and Bri struggle to live up to Aesha’s standards and put aside their differences to focus on their high-profile guests on each charter.
‘I’M TRYING TO RUN A BOAT!’
Ellie and Bri have repeatedly butt heads over their duties on the vessel and most recently came to blows after Bri wrote a “burn book” seemingly highlighting her fellow crew members’ screwups.
They were also at odds when Bri expressed interest in the lead deckhand, Joe Bradley, 27, who happened to be Ellie’s crush.
Episode nine concluded with a cliffhanger, with Bri demanding that she not work with Ellie anymore after reaching her breaking point.
“I’m trying to run a boat. As you can see, my girls are not the most competent. So, I am doing triple the amount of work that I really need to be doing. And I am so busy with that that I don’t have time to go and get involved in all your pity little s**t,” Aesha ranted to The U.S. Sun.
However, Aesha revealed that she eventually rectifies the situation in a way she thinks fans will be pleased with.
“I think people are getting frustrated with me for not giving Ellie what she deserves. But I can say that by the end of it, I do give Ellie what she deserves,” the TV star promised when referring to how her costar has handled her new role as Second Strew.

Aesha further teased about the remaining episodes, “I do get a bit more involved, and it gets more and more tense, but in a very entertaining kind of way.”
It wasn’t long ago that Aesha was in her costars’ positions, as she started on Below Deck Med as a Third Stew.
After gaining the experience, she had her first run as Chief Stew on Below Deck Down Under in 2022.
Earlier in the interview, the DROP beverage owner opened up about the challenges of constantly working with a new crew.

She confessed it would be great if Bravo “could stick with the same girls” when casting but acknowledged that that’s not likely.
Aesha, instead, tries to lead by example and hopes those under her will “observe” her actions and follow suit.
“I don’t really take any breaks, and I think, as most people know, I just always try to be kind and respectful,” Aesha said about her work ethic.
“I’m finding it a challenge as someone who has been in the industry for nine years. So Ellie and Bri must be finding it doubly as hard being more green, and it’s a new bar,” she sympathized.
