BELOW Deck series star Daisy Kelliher is desperately fundraising to help get her sister home after a horror crash abroad has left her with a €140k medical bill

Bonnie Kelliher was on holiday in Thailand with her sister when she got into a serious moped accident resulting in a “fractured spine and multiple large skull fractures”.

Bonnie suffered the injuries while heading home in Koh Tao after driver of the moped hit a fence.

She was in intensive care in a Thai hospital where she received seven surgeries, including an emergency operation for an infection in her head.

The infection has worsened as they removed part of her skull in her forehead, as a last resort to save her life.

The doctors are currently monitoring her infection as it still hasn’t cleared yet.

Bonnie wouldn’t be able to do much for the next six months and will need surgery later in the year to put a plate in her skull.

Her insurance policy expired two weeks before the accident, resulting in huge medical bills of over €140,000 – which are continuing to climb as she requires more medical attention and support from doctors.

The family hopes to bring Bonnie home next month for her to recover in Ireland and get treatment at their local hospital.

Bonnie’s sister, Daisy, who starred in the popular Below Deck series, launched the GoFundMe to raise funds to support her sister’s battle.

In her GoFundMe plea, Daisy detailed her sister’s predicament, saying: “The current bill is over €140,000 and growing every day. Many of our friends and family have offered to help so we have set up this fundraiser.

“Any donation is very much appreciated from my family. It’s been a stressful and emotional time for us but the amount of support has been overwhelming thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

“We hope to be able to get Bonnie back to Ireland in the next few weeks to recover at home.”

The GoFundMe was launched three days ago and many people have been donating.

People have been sharing whatever they can to help the family through the tough times.

One person has donated a whopping €1,000 to the fundraiser, while a handful of others donated €500 to the cause.
