Below Deck Season 11 Crew Will Break A New Record In The Worst Way Possible

Below Deck season 11 sets a few records, one of which severely impacts the show. Captain Kerry Titheradge is here to make his presence felt.

SUMMARY

  •  Captain Kerry Titheradge will lead Below Deck season 11, bringing a refreshing change to the popular Bravo franchise.
  •  Viewers can expect significant drama this year with more firings than the previous season.
  •  The professional relationship between chief steward Fraser Olender and lead deckhand Ben Willoughby is competitive and sometimes tense, but not too serious.

Captain Kerry Titheradge will set a surprising new record in Below Deck season 11. The popular Bravo franchise has been on TV since 2013. However, the new season will drastically differ as the legendary Captain Lee Rosbach isn’t returning to St. David. Over the last year, Bravo has cast a brand-new crew with a refreshing new captain. They’ve hired Below Deck Adventure’s Kerry to lead the main series. With over 20 years of experience, the new captain has a lot of knowledge, which makes him an excellent pick for Below Deck. A recent preview of the first three episodes seems full of dramatic moments and unexpected turns.

Recently, chief steward Fraser Olender and lead deckhand Ben Willoughby shared more details about Below Deck season 11. While talking to E! News, Fraser shared that there will be significant turnover this year. He said, “I don’t go anywhere, though, so thank God for that.” Ben added to Fraser’s comment, revealing that Below Deck season 11 will break last season’s record regarding firings. He said, “You’re probably gonna see more than season 10.” Apart from departures, there will also be plenty of returning cast members. Ben said, “You’re in for seeing a few more familiar faces,” adding that one of them will be a little bit more familiar than the others.

Fraser & Ben Are Very Competitive With Each Other

Ben and Fraser also discussed their professional relationship while filming Below Deck season 11 and teased some drama. Fraser said, ‘I think Ben kind of felt like he kind of enjoyed tormenting me this year,” adding that he was working very closely with Ben since they were the heads of their respective departments. The chief steward explained, “You’re going to have your differences. We work through those,” implying that he didn’t have the smoothest working relationship with the lead deckhand. Ben also shared his side. He jokingly uttered, “We’re brothers, and brothers are very competitive.” While Ben and Fraser didn’t delve into specifics, they hinted that the rivalry wasn’t too serious.

It’s understandable why Below Deck season 11 will be explosive and very different from the last few years. Over the previous decade, Captain Lee handled the team and fulfilled successful charters. He fired some but also allowed many to learn from their mistakes. However, not everyone is as flexible as Captain Lee was. In fact, most Below Deck captains are very strict, which was evident when Captain Sandra “Sandy” Yawn temporarily joined Below Deck season 10 and fired some crew members. Like Sandra, Captain Kerry also wants to leave a mark and ensure a successful season, even if it means firing people.

Below Deck season 11 may be the most dramatic season in recent months. Previously, Below Deck Mediterranean season 8 was full of controversies and departures. It offered a new and inexperienced crew that proved too much for Captain Sandy. Similarly, Below Deck season 11 has a fairly new crew, except for a few returning names. The main show may also end up being just as chaotic as its spin-off from last year. It’ll be interesting to see who Captain Kerry will fire this season. It may be one of the newcomers or could be someone who’s returning to Below Deck.
