Best family dinner scene in Blue Bloods Season 3

While chasing criminals and serving justice to New Yorkers are no secret the exciting parts of the CBS police procedural, one of the main reasons fans are said to return to watch for more than just the family aspect of the series, and among the many Reagan moments that viewers enjoy, the traditional dinner portion of each entry helps set “Blue Bloods” apart from the competition . While some seasons’ dinner scenes are better than others, there’s no question that any meal in Season 3 is a cut above the rest.

Episode 5, “Risk and Reward,” wraps things up with a laid-back family dinner where the adults enjoy some cold dishes and everyone enjoys some delicious pizza. The atmosphere was light and cheerful as the whole family gathered to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Henry Reagan’s (Len Cariou) induction into the police force with a charming police-themed cake. Even though he has since retired, this impressive milestone is still appreciated, mainly because his career influenced and inspired a number of individuals on the board who would certainly not otherwise would have made a difference in the community without Henry’s unparalleled dedication to the police force.

If there was a moment in “Blue Bloods” that demonstrated the Reagan family’s commitment to protecting and serving the people of New York, it would be one of the best choices. This is certainly a good choice for the best part of the season, especially considering what some fans and cast members have said about the “Risk and Reward” dinner scene.

Some people enjoyed the best dinner scene of Season 3 while others won’t order it again

There are some dinner scenes in “Blue Bloods” that don’t really get much attention, and then there are what are considered the worst dinner scenes in Season 3. But some of the Reagan family meals, like the one featured in “Risk and Reward” has left some people with fond memories.

Fans chose Reagan’s traditional reunion as the highlight of this entry, with one user on IMDb writing in their review, “This episode was superbly done with the events are summarized at the regular Reagan Sunday dinner.” An Amazon user praised the writers and appreciated the nostalgia experienced while watching the scene play out, saying in the review that “Four generations of Reagans were present at the Sunday dinners, and The interaction as well as education that comes with the dinner is a great read and makes me long for the old days.”

But Bridget Moynahan, who plays Erin Reagan, wasn’t a fan of that scene, or at least wasn’t a fan of the food she had to eat. “I had to eat the moo shu pork roll once because it was written in the script so I had to eat it while commenting on it,” the actor said in an interview with HuffPost Canada TV. “That was not good at all and I will never do it again.”

While many will always revere “Risk and Reward” for having one of the best dinner sequences the third season had on the menu, it will always be a nauseating reminder of Bridget Moynahan not never eat moo shu pork rolls again.
