Blue Blood Fans Will Be Left DEVASTATED… Here’s Why!

The hit drama series “Blue Bloods,” starring Tom Selleck, is currently in its 12th season. However, as many of you may know, the show is infamous for its chaotic and sporadic schedule. So, stay tuned and don’t go away because Blue Bloods fans will be devastated over the latest Season 12 episode news and some other related show updates.

Firstly, let’s address what’s happening with the Blue Bloods schedule. Fans have adored the franchise since it first aired on CBS in 2010. What fans don’t love, though, is the three-week break the show took at the end of 2021. The episode on Friday, December 10th, was the last of 2021, leaving fans satisfied with Danny and Baez’s partnership. They were pleased to see Jaime and Henry’s friendly interactions and Eddie’s astrology storyline. However, it also left fans wondering if the plot would pick up on Friday, December 17th. Unfortunately, they were forced to wait again to see how things would play out. As it stands now, the next new episode of Blue Bloods isn’t set to air until Friday, January 7th. While we don’t know for certain what the episode will contain in its entirety, we do know that the title of the episode is “Old Friends,” hinting at a potential plot direction.

The first thought that comes to the minds of many fans of the show is that the episode will center around Lenny Ross, who, as you know, is Frank’s oldest partner and pal. However, if you look closely at actor Donnie Wahlberg’s Instagram feed, there are some clues you can pick up on. One thing you’ll immediately notice on Wahlberg’s Insta feed is that he was recently back on set with actor Lyle Lovett, who plays the Texas Ranger character, Waylon Gates. So, people are also wondering which old friend will make their way back to the streets of New York City. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

If you’re interested in catching the latest episode of Blue Bloods, it airs on TV Friday nights on the CBS network. If you’re a streamer, you’ll be able to catch the latest episode the following day on Hulu. You can also binge-watch old episodes of the show on Paramount Plus.

Next up, what did we learn from the latest episode on December 10th, 2021? Let’s find out.

Blue Bloods returned for new episodes in December 2021, and a lot happened. Fans were shocked and excited to see the return of “Doctor Who” star Alex Kingston, who plays the character Sloan Thompson. As a result, viewers are more excited than ever to catch up on Blue Bloods episodes in 2022. In the latest episode titled “Firewall,” which aired on Friday, December 10th, audiences saw Sloan return to the field, and a malicious cyber-attack threatened the NYPD. We also saw characters Danny Reagan, played by Donnie Wahlberg, and Maria Baez, played by Marisa Ramirez, assist the British commander in tracking down an elusive suspect who would do anything to evade capture. Meanwhile, we learned that the character Erin, played by Bridget Moynahan, could see her political career come to an end as she starts to question some of the things taking place at her campaign office. One thing we know for sure, though, is that things will definitely be heating up for the Reagans in the 12th season of the show.

The series was once again stricken with frustrating delays, and even though delays in the show have become almost commonplace, fans have still apparently not gotten used to them. With that said, you’ll be happy to know that there is no shortage of Blue Bloods content to look forward to when CBS does eventually start airing new episodes again.

Up next, what can we expect when the series starts back up? Let’s have a look.

As mentioned, the newest episodes of the hottest police procedural show on TV are set to kick off again with the episode “Old Friends” on January 7th, followed immediately by another installment the following Friday with an episode titled “On the Arm.” Fans are hoping that the series will carry on the momentum throughout the new year. However, fans aren’t getting their hopes up. Each season of Blue Bloods typically consists of 22 episodes, but the series was forced to cut back its episodes due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these cutbacks, Blue Bloods is still as popular and as hot as ever. The latest season pulls in around 6 million views for each episode, and during the long agonizing waits for more episodes, fans are given some sneak peeks at what they can expect from the upcoming episodes.

A photo of the newest episode appears to show Donnie Wahlberg’s character, Danny, having a good laugh and enjoying himself during what looks like a family dinner. Danny’s brother, Jaime, played by actor Will Estes, sits with his wife, Eddie, played by actress Vanessa Ray. All seems cheerful during the dinner photo, which is good news.

Stay tuned and don’t go away because we’ve got the latest Blue Bloods news headed your way. At the end of the video, we’ll show you what happens when screen icon Tom Selleck breaks character.

Finally, what can fans expect from Season 12 Episode 12? You’re about to find out.

While some details still remain scarce, CBS did share some of the first details about Blue Bloods Season 12 Episode 12, which could be exciting on a number of levels. For one thing, Will Hochman is back as Joe Hill. This will be Hochman’s second appearance this season, and in this one, he’ll spend a great deal of time with Jaime. However, it’s unlikely that the two will be best buds. In fact, it’s more likely that they’ll be at odds with each other. Hochman is not the only guest star appearing in the Reagan way. We’ll also get appearances from the always cool screen legend Stacy Keach, playing Archbishop Kevin Kearns. Kearns will be clashing with Frank over the rules of confession. Now that’ll be good TV. Check out the official Season 12 Episode 12 synopsis that was released by CBS:

“The Reagan Way: Frank is at odds with his friend Archbishop Kearns, played by Stacy Keach, when he says the NYPD arrested the wrong man for a murder but he can’t break the confessional seal to reveal the true killer’s identity. Also, Danny and Baez use unorthodox methods to work around the church’s confidentiality constraints to find the real killer. Eddie defies Erin and the DA’s office to get justice for a sexual assault survivor, and Reagan’s family ties are put to the test when Jaime and his nephew, Joe Hill, played by Will Hochman, butt heads over fair police practices. Stacy Keach guest stars as Archbishop Kevin Kearns, and Will Hochman returns as Joe Hill, the newest Reagan family member.”

Clearly, there’s a lot going on in this episode, and our hope is that by the end of it, we’ll at least get Joe back at family dinner. It’s nice to get different faces there to mix things up here and there.
