Blue Bloods Star SHOCKING Return REVEALED..

Blue Bloods Season 14 finale is gearing up to be an epic comeback with two long-absent cast members making a return. Sami Gayle, who played Nikki Reagan Boyle, will be back after a two-year hiatus, and Jennifer Esposito is set to return after a decade away. The negotiations for Esposito’s return took weeks, and her comeback is seen as a crucial move for the series. Nikki Reagan Boyle, portrayed by Sami Gayle, is Frank Reagan’s granddaughter, known for her liberal ideologies. Jack, another Reagan grandchild, will also make his first appearance since the start of Season 12. Jennifer Esposito, who portrayed Detective Jackie Curatola, left the show amid controversies and is now set to assist Danny and his current partner in their search for a serial murderer.

The cast of Blue Bloods has wrapped production on the show for the final time.

After 14 seasons, the popular CBS series is coming to a close at the end of the year with the back half of its 14th season.

On Thursday (June 20), several cast members took to social media to react after their final day of filming.

Taking to Instagram, Donnie Wahlberg shared a brief clip of himself arriving to film.

“Not sure I have the words to describe how I feel about today, or the last 14 years on this special Blue Bloods journey, but I do know how incredibly thankful I am for every moment of it,” he wrote, thanking his costars, the crew and everyone else involved in the series.

He continued, writing, “Lastly, to my fans, and the fans of this show. We don’t make it 14 days (nevermind 14 years) without you! Your love and support for this show has been one of the great blessings of my life. Thank you.”

Costar Marisa Ramirez also took to Instagram to share a photo of a police badge drawn by her daughter Violet.

“Last day of Blue Bloods! I don’t have the words yet to express my joy or my sadness but at least I have a homemade sticker shield from Violet to replace the one I had to give back to props today. The sweetest,” she wrote.

CBS has officially announced that beloved Friday night drama Blue Bloods is coming to an end, despite protests from both fans and stars of the series. As viewers await the final episodes to air in the fall, the network has offered a glimmer of hope about the show’s future.

TVLine reported that during a recent shareholders meeting, Brian Robbins, co-CEO of Paramount Global (the parent company of CBS), delivered this piece of news: “In TV, new franchise extensions are coming for DexterBillions, and Blue Bloods.” Paramount has previously confirmed spinoffs of Dexter and Billions, but this is the first mention of more to come from the Blue Bloods universe.

The news shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to fans of the NYPD drama. Despite its cancellation, the series continues to perform in the ratings for CBS. In its 14th season, it was the number 8 most-watched program on TV and regularly wins Friday nights.

Blue Bloods star Tom Selleck told Country Living, “They announced this was gonna be our last season. I think CBS will come to their senses. My hope is CBS wakes up to the fact that we’re still winning the night on Friday night and performing on Paramount Plus.”

Still, fans are likely scratching their heads at the news: Why would CBS opt for a spinoff, rather than continuing the popular series beyond season 14? The network has not offered further comment on the news.

This isn’t quite the update Blue Bloods fans were hoping for, but we think any opportunity to see more of the Reagan family is a win.
