Boat Drama: Is Below Deck Mediterranean’s Ellie Dubaich Plotting to Oust Bri Muller in Season 9?
Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 Stew Ellie Dubaich has been struggling in her relationship with Bri Muller all season, but it’s possible that after being dubbed the season’s villain, she’s actively trying to sabotage her competition. Introduced as a returning Below Deck Med crewmember, Ellie has proven she knows her job throughout the season. Even with quite a bit of knowledge, Ellie’s behavior with the rest of the crew hasn’t been up to par. After getting into a scuffle with Bri over a potential boatmance with Deckhand Joe Bradley, Ellie’s behavior changed drastically when she felt personally and professionally attacked.
While she may not have set out to be the villain, Ellie‘s characteristics and actions aboard Mustique have painted a very different picture. Early in the charter season, Ellie was adamant that she was hoping to advance her position to Chief Stew by the end of the charter season. With nearly a decade’s experience in the industry, Ellie knows how to handle the stress and workload aboard a superyacht. What she wasn’t expecting was the drama between herself and Bri. The Second Stew has struggled not to bring her drama into her work, even though she swore she’d remain professional.
Ellie & Bri Have Been Feuding Over Joe Bradley
Within the first charter of Below Deck Mediterranean season 9, Bri and Ellie were open with production about the fact that they were interested in Joe. Unfortunately, Bri didn’t feel comfortable sharing her attraction to Joe with Ellie, which was a problem when Ellie opened up to Bri about her own interest. Disregarding Ellie‘s feelings during a crew night out, Bri hooked up with Joe after feeling jealous that he was flirting with her superior. Bri’s actions may have been immature, but Ellie couldn’t respect that she’d gotten to Joe faster. Their drama ultimately escalated, causing problems during a charter.
