Britney Spears’ Ex Weighed 290LBS and Had ‘Rotten’ Teeth – He Changed Himself Before Becoming Her Husband
Britney Spears’ husband, Sam Asghari, who recently filed for divorce, looked significantly different than how he does today.
Before he met the pop sensation and married her, he reportedly weighed 290 lbs and had rotten teeth.
People who have seen the before and after pictures of Asghari have had mixed reactions to what they saw.
Iranian-American fitness trainer, model, actor, and soon-to-be ex-husband of global superstar Britney Spears, Sam Asghari, did not always look the way he does today and came from humble beginnings. Originally born in Iran, Asghari left the country with his father in 2006 when he was 12 years old. Leaving his three sisters and mother behind, the fitness trainer and his dad moved to the United States.
After moving, Asghari initially showed promise as a football player in college; however, following getting cut from the team, he pursued a degree in criminal justice, taking on three jobs to pay his way through school. As a result of his stressful schedule, he fell into a bout of depression and became reliant on junk food, which made him gain a significant amount of weight, 290 lbs, to be exact.

Sam Asghari Decided to Become Healthy and Lost Weight
Having realized that he was going down a dangerous path, Asghari made a conscious effort to change his unhealthy lifestyle. He spent the next six months working out and adopting a healthier lifestyle, and as a result, he dropped almost 100 pounds. His new toned physique came with modeling and acting opportunities, one of which included appearing in Spears’ music video for her song “Slumber Party,” in 2016.
Keeping in line with his commitment to being healthy, Asghari became a fitness trainer and changed his bad eating habits. He allocated 25% of his meal plan to protein, another 25% to carbohydrates, and 15% to vegetables:
“I allowed myself a $50 shopping budget every single week at the grocery store…I didn’t eat for pleasure. My eating is now for nutrition and survival.”

On his new regimen, Asghari soon reached a stage where he only had 3% of body fat and soon developed a dangerous obsession with losing weight. He chalked his weight loss obsession up to never wanting to gain as much weight as he used to but, luckily, realized he needed to increase his body fat percentage to a healthier number.
Though his weight problem was significant, it was not the only thing about himself Asghari wanted to change. In the same year that he starred in “Slumber Party,” a dentist from Los Angeles posted before and after pictures of the model’s teeth, revealing rotten teeth from apparent signs of tooth decay before Dr. Kam Kamangar transformed his smile. Reportedly, Asghari spent thousands of dollars on crowns and implants.

Sam Asghari Received Mixed Reviews over His Appearance Transformation
When news outlets released before and after pictures of Asghari’s body and teeth, many people who saw the story expressed differing opinions about how they felt. Some claimed that the trainer used Spears’ money to transform himself since the work on his teeth occurred the same year they were romantically linked when they filmed her music video.
However, others defended Asghari, commending him for the hard work he put in to improve his health. Another supporter chastised one of the media outlets that published the story:
“Thank you for the rotten teeth photo daily mail, shows how unprofessional you are.”

Asghari, who has since filed for divorce from Spears, has come a long way since weighing 290 lbs.
Though some feel he used Spears for her money to transform himself, others have recognized the hard work he put in to change his life for the better.
