Despite his situation, Paul’s been active on Instagram. He deleted all posts except one featuring his children. He hasn’t addressed fans’ concerns yet.
90 Day Fiancé star Paul Staehle’s confirmed alive according to his mom Mary, who revealed details about his current whereabouts after he went missing. Paul, 42, from Louisville, Kentucky, moved to Brazil to stay with Karine Martins on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Paul and Karine’s married life has been turbulent. Things took a serious turn amid their cheating allegations, visa issues, language differences, and age gap. Paul and Karine were apparently fired over abuse allegations. However, fans kept up with their off-screen drama via Instagram. One such update was from Karine on August 31, 2023, when she claimed Paul had gone missing in Brazil.
The news is shocking. It hasn’t been long since Karine posted a video implying Paul had died. However, as per InTouch, Paul’s mother Mary spoke to blogger John Yates and confirmed, “I’m so grateful that he’s OK and alive, but he’s still not in a good situation.”
In a YouTube live on 3 September 2023, Mary told John, “He’s still not back out of the woods yet, but I know he’s alive.” Mary found out that her son was in danger. He had taken a canoe-like boat to the, “wrong place” at nighttime. Mary thought it was, “stupid” of Paul to have ventured somewhere at night all by himself. Paul supposedly went to a place that was, “dangerous.” She added, “And he freaked out and that’s where he said, ‘He screwed up.’”

“And then he found a way to get back over to this village, so he’s in some remote village, over there somewhere,” Mary explained. Paul is apparently being treated, “good” by the villagers. He’s been able to sleep in hammocks, but he does get, “eaten by bugs” outside. Mary claimed a boat was going to be able to pick up Paul today, on September 4, 2023. One of Paul’s friends had called Mary on Saturday night, saying they were going to look for Paul. “He’s hoping to get back tomorrow, that’s what he told me,” she continued.
Meanwhile, Paul appears to be connecting to the Internet, even though he’s stranded in a remote location, as he’s been using Instagram. Paul’s unusual social media activity confirmed that he hasn’t died. He seemingly just got lost. He scrubbed all of his posts from his IG feed, except two of them. He reposted a video clip he’d originally shared in January 2022. It’s now been deleted. It featured his two kids. The caption of the post read, “Always part on good terms because if that moment is the last goodbye make it a positive one.”
However, 90 Day Fiancé’s Paul hasn’t given a statement on Instagram to assure his fans that he’s okay. Cast members and fans alike were anticipating happy news from Karine or Paul’s friends and family since he went missing. Unfortunately, Karine alluded to his death, which further added to their worries. Karine and Paul were back together in April 2023, after having been separated since December 2021. They are in the midst of fighting for the custody of their children. However, since Paul’s been in Brazil by himself, the two probably weren’t together during his apparent disappearance.
