Brittney Griner Dropped Four-Word Truth Bomb About Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark Rivalry Before WNBA Rematch
Sunday will bring the second WNBA rematch between Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese.
These two rookies rose to global superstardom in tandem, after Reese taunted Clark in the waning moments of the 2023 NCAA Championship game.
Now, well over a year later, both women have risen to an unprecedented level of fame, and have helped catapult women’s basketball to a new stratosphere within the eyes of pop culture.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Griner said of these two rookies, “I love the hype.”
“I love everything. I love the fact that we have all these new fans. I think the momentum is definitely growing,” Griner added.
Griner is all for the added attention that Reese and Clark bring to her league. And we expect that she’ll be watching live when the two iconic rookies meet again on Sunday.
Angel Reese has always been open about what she likes to spend her time doing—and also about who she spends her time with.
Reese let fans know when she was in a relationship with Florida State basketball player Cam’Ron Fletcher back in 2023. She was also clear about when her and Fletcher broke up, prior to the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
Since then, Reese has asserted that she’s single. And a recent X post makes it seem like Reese is trying to remain that way in the future.
Reese addressed fan speculation about her potential love interests over X on Saturday.

“off topic: i really be wanting to wear a cute jersey look for a game day fit but i know yall gon think im messing with that player or something weird so im not even gon try it yall fits be looking good thoooo,” Reese wrote on X.
Reese clearly wants to show love for some of her professional athlete peers without fans assuming that her doing so isn’t an actual declaration of love.
Perhaps this is a sign we’ll see Reese sporting a jersey before facing Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Sunday.
