‘Below Deck Down Under’ Season 3 Rumored Cast & Filming Location Revealed: 3 Stars Returning, 7 Stars Exit & 7 Crew Members Are Rumored to Join
Jason Chambers – RETURNING
Jason Chambers is set to return as Captain for season three.
In March 2024, when asked about when season three would premiere on Instagram, Jason replied to fans, “Talk is this year… no date atm. Let’s shout out and tell @belowdeckbravo how much we want this…🙌”
He confirmed with InTouch in December 2023 that he’s on board, but after season two he’s got some changes he’d like to put in place. He also shared that he’s pretty much left out of decisions, other than showing up to captain the boat.
“They leave me very much out of it. That’s the way they operate. I like that when the location’s picked, I’ll turn up to a boat, I’ll meet the crew and then I’ll get on with it,” he said. “That is a pretty big essence of the whole production. So, they do keep me at an arm’s distance, which I like. It actually brings out the challenging part of it, which I actually really enjoy.”
As for changes he would implement as captain going forward, being an advocate for no alcohol would be one.
“That would be great from a captain’s point of view because the safety aspect is still there and the more I look back on the episodes, I see them with the audience,” Jason told InTouch. “I don’t see anything until the audience does. I actually obviously will implement my own style going forward for season three. Whether that’s in tune with NBC or Bravo, I’m not sure, but I definitely will be putting my two cents in as a captain going into season 3.”
Tzarina Mace-Ralph – RETURNING
Tzarina Mace-Ralph is rumored to be returning as the chef for her second season on the show. She joined in season two.
She currently follows several of her rumored season three cast mates on Instagram
Harry Van Vliet – RETURNING
Harry Van Vliet is rumored to be returning as a deckhand, after making his first appearance in the role in season two.
He is currently following and is followed by several rumored season three cast mates.
Aesha Scott – NOT RETURNING
Fans were really hoping that Aesha Scott would return as Chief Stew, as she has been in that position for the first two seasons. However, it looks like her move back to Below Deck Mediterranean for season nine may have impacted her chance of returning to work with Captain Jason for another season.
Once her casting on Med was announced, many fans wondered if she would return, and Captain Jason responded to a comment on Instagram, saying, “Of course I was put off a little, but with no season 3 in the pipeline and life in general, situations change and people move on for their own reasons and requirements. Change is great in life, it creates us to grow. @aesha_jean and myself had two great seasons, you need to be grateful for what you have and had and not what you want.”
This led many fans to believe season three of Down Under was no longer happening, but it actually appears that at the time Med was filming, there was no Down Under season three, so Aesha returned to the other show. Jason has previously mentioned that he really doesn’t have much of any say in casting.
Prior to Below Deck Down Under, she was also a stew on Below Deck Mediterranean for 1.5 seasons. She also made a guest appearance on Winter House season three!
Culver Bradbury – NOT RETURNING
Culver Bradbury started on Below Deck Down Under season one, and was brought back in season two, even acting as interim Bosun for one episode after the Bosun was fired. However, it looks like he won’t be back for a third season.
Luka Brunton – NOT RETURNING
Luka joined Below Deck Down Under in season two, then jumped over to Below Deck Mediterranean for season eight, where he was promoted to Bosun, much to his surprise. However, it looks like his time on the Below Deck franchise has come to an end… at least, for now.
Adam Kodra – NOT RETURNING
Adam Kodra was fired in the second half of season two after accidentally releasing the ship’s anchor while the boat was cruising at full speed and not stationary.
“You’re definitely a good bloke, you’re definitely good in the breach, but on deck I don’t think you have the experience for super yachts and that anchor being dropped underway is kind of where I draw the line,” Captain Jason said. “We’re gonna let you go and we’re gonna bring in a lead deckhand. I just need someone with a lot more experience.”
“I apologize for even creating that for the time that I was here,” Adam said, adding “but thank you so much for giving me the opportunity.”
Margot Sisson – NOT RETURNING
Margot Sisson joined the cast as a Stew in season two, but it looks like she won’t be making a return this season.
Joao Franco – NOT RETURNING
Joao Franco served as lead deckhand and bosun for two seasons of Below Deck Mediterranean and returned to the franchise on Below Deck Down Under season three, years later. He was the 2nd Officer before being made Bosun after Luke Jones‘ firing. It appears as the Joao will not be back for another season.
Jaimee Neale – NOT RETURNING
Jaimee Neale joined BDDU in season two about halfway through the season. She was brought on as a 2nd Stew after Laura Bileskaline was fired. It looks like she will not be returning to the franchise for season three.
Luke Jones – NOT RETURNING
Luke Jones was fired in season two for sexual misconduct.
Producers had to intervene after he climbed into stew Margot‘s bed naked, while she was asleep. After Captain Jason was informed of what happened, Luke was fired.
Laura Bileskaline – NOT RETURNING
Laura Bileskaline was also fired as a stew during season two for unwanted advances.
Similarly to Bosun Luke, she made a few unwanted advances toward deckhand Adam Kodra during the same episode. Producers intervened then as well.
