CBS announced Lane’s involvement in a brief Instagram reel featuring a handful of clips from his feature. One of the short clips shows Lane making a stabbing gesture, with Elsbeth recounting the crime in the subsequent clip. The clip suggests that Nathan Lane could play one of the procedural’s many villain characters, making him the latest guest killer to join the series.
