Blue Bloods fans cannot wait to see Jackie Curatola in series 14 after Jennifer Esposito made her exit way back in 2012.
Season 13 saw Danny Reagan (played by Donnie Wahlberg) and Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) cross paths with his ex-partner Jackie Curatola (Jennifer Esposito) who is now the Suffolk county chief.
They met again in the season 13 finale as serial killer Leonard Walker (Mather Zickel) had been released and got away after attacking Jackie in her own home.
Thankfully she was alright but the story isn’t over quite yet with Jackie, Danny and Baez more determined than ever to track the culprit down.

When will Blue Bloods’ Jennifer Esposito return as Jackie Curatola?
Jackie Curatola star Jennifer Esposito made a comeback to Blue Bloods in season 13, much to fans surprise and she will be returning for the final series.
She is going to return on Friday, February 23, on CBS, for episode two, entitled Dropping Bombs where the hunt for Leonard Walker will continue.
Teasing what’s to come, the episode synopsis reads: “Danny and Baez join forces with Danny’s old partner when a serial killer reappears.
“Eddie faces backlash when she tries to help a woman with accuses a sergeant of rape; Jamie clashes with his nephew.”

Jackie hadn’t been seen in Blue Bloods since season three which aired in 2012 after she decided to take early retirement from the NYPD due to stress, showing signs of burnout.
While actress Jennifer Esposito was labelled as “also starring” during her time in the drama, she played an important role as Danny’s partner.
Her exit was dramatic away from the cameras as the actress and CBS had conflicting stories on the real reason why she left the show.
At the time, CBS said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter: “Jennifer [Esposito] has informed us that she is only available to work on a very limited part-time schedule.
But Esposito took to X, formerly Twitter, to claim that she collapsed on set due to her Celiac disease and was put on unpaid leave by the network, as a result.
She wrote: “CBS didn’t listen to my doc and I collapsed on set. Which everyone saw!
“After a week off my doc said I could return to work but CBS … (i)mplied that I was NOT truly ill and this was a scheme to get a raise!
“It’s been almost two months without (bringing) me back to work + keeping (m)e from working anywhere else! …Absolutely shameful behavior.”
But with Esposito returning to the CBS, it is clear there is no longer bad blood between herself and the network.
