While Todd and Julie Chrisley have been serving their prison sentences, their children have been keeping fans updated about their lives and their condition behind bars.

Savannah Chrisley just released a statement slamming what she says is a “lie” that an outlet is preparing to run about Julie hiring lawyers to end her marriage from Todd.

Talk about family drama!

Savannah Chrisley went online to slam a story that Julie is planning to file for divorce from Todd.

The 25-year-old took to Instagram on Monday to clear the air about her parents’ marriage.

“What a day it has been,” Savannah began. “Super busy.”

The Chrisley Knows Best star continued, “It’s been awesome, but while I was doing my last interview, I was notified that the—and I don’t even want to give these people the time of day—but I was notified that the National Inquire was going to be running a story on—or about Julie Chrisley hiring counsel to file for divorce.”

“That is a lie,” Savannah stated, noting, “And the only reason I’m speaking about the National Inquire is because frankly you should be held accountable for all of your lies.”

While she had written “National Inquire” and referred to that name in her video, it appears that she is actually referring to the tabloid National Enquirer.

Her post went on to slam the paper’s tactics.

“That’s not journalism,” Savannah insisted. “Whoever is writing these articles really should find a new job because the fact that you are going out here and trying to wreak havoc on people’s lives with a lie is absolutely insane.”

She then cleared up some facts about Julie’s situation.

“So, no, my mother has not hired counsel,” she explained.”

“If she did, it would have gone through me,” Savannah added. “So, that whole story is a lie.”

Evidently, Julie is still sad to be away from her husband as they serve their sentences separately.

“I just sat with my mother at visitation this weekend and she cried about how much she missed my father,” detailed the reality star.

Savannah then warned, “So for the people that are giving these outlets false stories, karma’s a b**ch and it’s going to come and bite you.”

The podcaster expressed her unhappiness that someone would try to publish that story.

“It’s just unfortunate that we live in a world that wants to tear families apart and wants to spew hate and lies,” Savannah expressed. “And it’s just absolutely insane.”

The Chrisley daughter has been responsible for keeping the public updated about their parents, sharing in August that Todd and Julie had not been able to speak in almost 200 days.

She shared old photos of the couple and revealed the sad news.

“195 days without a word to each other…” Savannah wrote. “My heart is breaking…”

The reality star also shared a link to her parent’s legal defense website, followed by a hashtag that read “#freethechrisleys.”

“Please help to bring justice,” she added.

Luckily for the family, the Chrisleys will be getting out over a year before their release dates.

Todd was originally sentenced for 12 years while Julie was set to face seven years.

Official prison records obtained by the outlet state that the reality stars will each have more than a year shaved off of their sentencing.

Todd’s release from his respective prison in Pensacola will now happen on January 22, 2033, Page Six reports.

Julie is set to be let go from the Federal Medical Center Lexington on October 19, 2028.

The couple’s attorney Jay Surgent recently expressed that he believes there were “several serious and critical errors in this case” and they would “without a doubt” get out of prison early.

“The Georgia office of Inspector General released a report regarding this case. Within this report there are details in which they uncovered significant issues with this case that were occurring from the very beginning of this process including alleged abuse of power and actions by the prosecutors and investigators within the Georgia Department of Revenue,” Jay said in a press release.

The attorney also claimed that this was an attempt to target the Chrisley’s because of their fame.
