Below Deck Down Under’s Laura Bileskalne shares her thoughts on Luke Jones’ misconduct that resulted in him being fired from the Northern Sun.

Below Deck Down Under season 2’s Laura Bileskalne held her ground on her opinion about Margot Sisson’s unwanted interaction with her former cast mate Luke Jones. Below Deck Down Under season 2 got off to a strong start and was thrust into the headlines recently when Luke made an unwanted sexual advance on Margot while she was intoxicated. Aesha Scott and the production team stepped in, stopping the incident, and Captain Jason Chambers made the decision to fire Luke the following day. While the rest of the yachties were supportive, Laura spoke out about her anger at Luke’s Below Deck termination, leading to her own dismissal from the Northern Sun.

In a recent Instagram Story, Laura shared that she’s not backing down from her take on the situation. According to Us Weekly, Laura has been slamming Bravo and Below Deck Down Under in the last several days, making it clear that she wouldn’t “make up a [predator].” Laura went on to explain, “I don’t take s*** from who[ever] has not actually watched it,” and continued to support Luke, sharing that she felt Margot was partially to blame. “From someone who gave a HUG to a girl who willingly kissed 25 min ago,” Laura wrote, “[Get] over yourself and your bs.”

Below Deck’s Laura Reveals She’s Staying “Loyal” To Luke Jones

While Laura’s dismissal came about due to her vocal rebuke of Luke’s firing along with her unwanted advance toward deckhand Adam Kodra, she was quick to hold her ground about the issue after the fact. “I was 29 when the show was filmed, 30 was my life-changer. I am 31 now and I am watching it as all of you, an entertainment show,” Laura explained but continued, “I will stay loyal to myself and my friend @lukebonesjones. I never do or ever will stand up for what is wrong. And you can not ben[d] me.” Though Laura has apologized to Adam and Margot, she has chosen to continue defending Luke.

Laura has chosen to remain staunch in her defense of Luke, despite the public not being on her side. While Laura has made it clear that she disagrees with the way the situation was edited on Below Deck Down Under and has slammed Bravo for their choice to build what she feels is a false narrative around something so sensitive, she’s been keeping her statements personal rather than blaming Bravo for the issue entirely. Instead of understanding that Below Deck Down Under’s Margot felt violated, she’s chosen to blame the victim and support someone who is being publicly shamed for his choices.

After choosing to keep her support of Luke public, Laura has chosen to go against the rest of the Below Deck Down Under cast along with some others in the franchise. Notably, Below Deck alum Captain Lee Rosbach offered his support, admonishing Luke’s actions alongside several other members of the franchise. For Below Deck Down Under, this defining event is making it clear that they’re a huge part of the franchise family and that the yachtie community is there for support.

Below Deck Down Under airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
