It has been 18 years since “The Office” first hit American television, yet the cast members are still in the industry. Many of their careers have since flourished, while some built lives with family.

After its 2005 premiere, “The Office” gained a dedicated fan base that remains strong today. The show featured a talented cast who brought characters to life with their impeccable comedic timing and memorable performances.

Since the series began, cast members have achieved remarkable success both within and outside the show. Most of them focused on their careers in the industry and starred in several more on-screen productions.

Michael Scott
Steve Carell famously played Michael Scott for over 100 episodes of “The Office.” However, he had already made strides in Hollywood by the time the show’s first season ended. Some of his early films include “Bruce Almighty,” “Bewitched,” and “The 40-Year-Old Virgin.”

In 2010, Carell announced his exit from the beloved sitcom to spend more time with his family and focus on his film career. Since then, his film career has been nothing short of successful. Some of his notable movies include “Date Night,” “Despicable Me,” “Despicable Me 2,” “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” and many more.

He also returned to television, starring in “The Patient” and “The Morning Show,” to which he previously discussed a possible return. Besides his career, Carell has been doing well as a husband to Nancy Carell and a father to their two children, Johnny Carell and Elisabeth Anne Carell.

In 2005, John Krasinski assumed the role of Jim Halpert on “The Office.” His outstanding performance won him a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2007 and 2008.

Krasinski focused on the success of his Hollywood career and appeared in several comedies, such as “The Holiday,” “License to Wed,” and “Leatherheads.” In 2009, he worked behind the scenes as a writer and director for “Brief Interviews with Hideous Men.” He also showed his talent in “The Hollars” and “A Quiet Place.”

In July 2023, renowned actor Robert Downey Jr. teased a surprise cameo by Krasinski on “Oppenheimer,” where Emily Blunt, his wife, stars in. The “Iron Man” star shared photos with the cast on Instagram.

Pam Beesly
Pam Beesly was a beloved character from “The Office,” well played by Jenna Fischer. Throughout her time on the show, Fischer appeared in other productions, including “Slither,” “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story,” and “The Giant Mechanical Man.”

Interestingly, Fischer was pregnant with her first child, Weston Lee, during parts of their filming, particularly in the episode “Pam’s Replacement.” In 2020, Fischer gave birth to her second child, Harper Marie Kirk. Fischer is happily married to Lee Krik, who recently celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary.

Dwight Schrute
Rainn Wilson, who played Dwight Schrute in the office, brought joy to the audience of “The Office.” However, the actor was unhappy while filming “because it wasn’t enough.” He added:

“I was making hundreds of thousands. I wanted millions, and I was a TV star, but I wanted to be a movie star. It was never enough.”

Wilson struggled with anxiety for most of his life. “Depression comes and goes,” he said. Fortunately, he was able to transform through a personal journey in his recent show, “Rainn Wilson and the Geography of Bliss.”

Wilson has since starred in “My Super Ex-Girlfriend,” “Super,” and “Cooties,” among many others. Besides his successful career, he has a wonderful wife, Holiday Reinhorn, who supports his endeavors.

Angela Martin
Angela Kinsey interestingly had the same name as her “The Office” character. While filming the television series, she starred in several other programs, including “License to Wed” and “The Office: The Accountants.”

Although it has been years since “The Office” ended, Kinsey remains close to some of her co-stars. In 2023, she and Fischer reunited at Chili’s for an Ad.

Kevin Malone
Like Kinsey, Brian Baumgartner, who plated Kevin Malone, also starred in “License to Wed” and “The Office: The Accountants.” In 2023, Baumgartner visited Rochester, paying tribute to his role.
