Will Trent Season 2 Must Break Up Will & Angie For Good
Will Trent and Angie Polaski were the central relationship in Will Trent season 1, but when season 2 comes along, they shouldn’t be together. The two have a long and twisted history together, as they were both orphans and grew up in the same foster home when they were teenagers. Will and Angie endured copious amounts of abuse, and their trauma has bonded them for life.
But even though Will and Angie undoubtedly have a deep understanding of one another, that doesn’t mean they should date. They have had an on-and-off again relationship for several years, and season 1 was only a taste of what their dynamic has been since they first met as kids. It’s a constant ebb and flow, and once Will Trent season 2 premieres (hopefully, in the fall of 2023, if the writers’ strike doesn’t delay it too much), Will and Angie’s romance needs to permanently end.
Will & Angie’s Relationship Is Toxic In Will Trent
At the end of the Will Trent series premiere, viewers learned that Will and Angie’s relationship was romantic, but it wasn’t 100 percent healthy. They technically weren’t an official couple, but they leaned on one another for support, and from time to time, they slept together. However, Will and Angie often fought over the state of their relationship, which would lead to multiple “break-ups” until they ultimately reconciled.
As season 1 continued, Will and Angie’s dynamic became clear — Will reminded Angie of her traumatic past, and Angie’s constant sabotage wasn’t fair to Will. She knew the right buttons to push with Will and what to say to drive him away. Meanwhile, Angie felt like he was trying to change her. To be honest, it’s all just tiring to watch, so it’s probably even more exhausting to endure. Will and Angie deserve an easy relationship containing little to no heartache, and hopefully, they’ll realize that in Will Trent season 2.
Will Trent Already Has Another Love Interest For Will
There is good news for Will — Will Trent already has the perfect love interest for him after Angie. Season 1, episode 5 introduced viewers to Ava Green, a photographer with connections to a heist crew. Will met her during a robbery gone wrong and initially suspected she was involved with the case. However, Ava was not behind the crime. In fact, the heist crew forced her to help them, so ultimately, Ava was released from her holding cell by the end of the hour.
Throughout episode 5, it was obvious that there was chemistry between Will and Ava. Sadly, Will had just broken up with Angie, so he wasn’t ready to jump into a new relationship. They bid each other farewell, but perhaps Ava will return in Will Trent season 2, and she and Will can go on an official date.
