Thomas has spoken openly about his mental health

Thomas Hartley had a very rocky ride on the E4 show Married at First Sight UK during the 2022 season when he was married to Adrian Sanderson with the couple ultimately deciding to go their separate ways. Thomas has now thanked his fans after his recent post on Instagram in which he spoke about his mental health.

The star shared that he was on medication, telling his followers: “There’s no shame in anything you have been through or are going through” and has now thanked them for their “outpouring of support”. In a lengthy post, he said: “Thank you for the recent love and outpouring of support on my recent post about my mental health and medication. I’m a flawed and damaged individual who has felt suicidal and unwell on and off for years without any solution really, always looking for an answer and modifying my life, my appearance and my relationships with people and things to try and find a solution.

Fans commented messages of support on the post. One said: “Just want you to know that although I don’t know you, I have loved your posts, which always make me smile. Take time out to look after you and feel better whatever it takes. Just wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and hope you feel on top of the world soon… x”

Another added: “Even across the seas here in Australia we love you. We don’t expect you always to be happy. It’s your authenticity and loveable kind heart we can all see. So from the bottom of the world I hope your feeling more on top of the world soon.” And: “Sending you so much love x” followed by a red love heart emoji.
